Beatrice Flammia was a Malden resident for over 40 years and raised 6 children in Malden with her husband Robert. Beatrice was very involved in the community and was very charitable with her time and talents, even as a young girl working at the Schraffts candy factory in Everett. Beatrice was always drawn to help the homeless and hungry. Our Mission Bread of Life is a nonprofit, nondenominational faith-based organization serving the communities north of Boston, with a mission to feed the body and to nurture the soul. We strive to feed the hungry, the homeless, the needy and the isolated; to offer spiritual nurture, support and hospitality; to promote greater peace and justice by addressing broader issues of hunger, poverty, and need; and to conduct our work in a spirit of respect and nonviolence.
